Just saw an hour portion of a VERY interesting documentary on terrorism. The movie made a strong case for why Western Society should view radical Islam as it should have viewed the Nazis in the 1930's.
There are approximately 1 billion Muslims in the world. However, only 10-15 percent believe in this radical Islam. Most are moderates and peaceful. But even if 10 percent of them believed in the radical ideology, that is 100 million people who are spread in dozens of nations throughout the world.
The movie made the case that the media is not portraying what is really happening in Islamic society. Children are supposedly being taught straight out of their text books the importance of jihad and death to the Jews and Americans. TV networks throughout the Middle East play extremely hateful propaganda about Isreal and Western Civilization to fuel the flames.
The movie ends by acknowledging that the overwhelming majority of Muslims are peaceful and that we need to empower them to stand up against the radical minority that is trying to hijack their religion.
